In the event of a postal service disruption we expect delays in outgoing mail from FIRST Insurance Funding of Canada. We ask that you encourage your clients to utilize one of the many payment options available instead of mailing or providing your brokerage with a physical cheque.
Payments
Down payments and monthly installment payments made by pre-authorized payments will not experience a service disruption. Missed, late, certified payments, and insureds who are billed via invoicing should make their payments via online banking. The Payee name is FIRST Insurance Funding of Canada. Please ask insureds not to mail any physical cheques.
Should you receive negative endorsements or return premiums by cheque, please courier it to our Toronto office. Payment schedules can be printed and emailed to your clients by logging into First InSite and clicking on the Print Account Summary tab. If you need a login or password reset please contact client services.
Paperless Option – If we have an email address on file, we will send email copies of all documentation to insureds. We welcome you to login to First InSite and update clients’ records with an email address. This will ensure your clients receive timely documentation.
Notices
All Intent To Cancel and Cancellation notices will be processed as usual and mailed copies will continue to be sent via courier. For those without an email address in our First InSite system, all other notices (acceptance, endorsement, etc.) will be sent via Canada Post, so please expect a delay in receipt.
Should you have any questions please contact our client services team at clientservices@firstinsurancefunding.ca or 1 888 232 2238.
